Roland Austrup is Chairman and Managing Principal of WaveFront, responsible for overseeing the firm’s strategy, governance, and business operations. Roland joined WaveFront in 2003 and previously served as the firm’s President and CEO, before becoming Managing Principal in 2019. Roland is also a Director of Envest Corp., a downstream energy company, and an Advisory Board member for the Master of Quantitative Finance program at the University of Waterloo. Roland is a past member of both the AIMA (Canada) Managed Futures Committee and the Investment Funds Product Advisory Committee (IFPAC) of the Ontario Securities Commission. Prior to joining WaveFront, Mr. Austrup was an Investment Advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., and began his career as a Commodities Broker with ScotiaMcLeod Inc. where he was primarily involved with hedging commodity price risk for corporate clients. Mr. Austrup holds a B.A. with Honours from the University of Western Ontario.

Robert Koloshuk is Chief Investment Officer and Managing Principal at WaveFront, responsible for oversight of the firm’s research and trading. Robert joined WaveFront in 2003, and was Senior Strategist and Director of Trading before becoming a Managing Principal in 2019. Prior to joining WaveFront, Robert was assistant to the head of the Social Sciences department at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario, where he taught classes in philosophy and history. Robert received a B.A. (Honours in Philosophy) from the University of Guelph, with a focus on epistemology and logic. Robert is additionally an autodidact programmer and software architect from a very young age. Drawing from his diverse background, and his initial role as Senior Strategist and Director of Trading at WaveFront, Robert designed and oversaw the development of WaveFront’s trading and research software, including internal OMS-EMS systems and data management systems. Robert oversees WaveFront’s select internship program, which generally focuses on students in post-graduate level quantitative finance programs. All of Robert’s former interns have gone on to distinguished roles at WaveFront, top Canadian asset or pension managers, and investment banks.

Mark Adams serves as Portfolio Manager of WaveFront, responsible for overseeing the firm’s equity models, investment research and Asia operations in partnership with AGFWave (WaveFront’s Join-Venture with AGF). Mark joined WaveFront in 2011 and previously served as the firm’s Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of Research, before becoming Managing Principal in 2019. Prior to WaveFront, he worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of Research at AlphaShares, a company he co-founded with Dr. Burton Malkiel and Baochuan Capital. Mark received a B.Sc.(Economics) from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. (Fine Arts) from the University of Pennsylvania. Mark is a a CFA® charterholder

Amirali (Amir) Ijad currently serves as a Quantitative Research & Trading Associate at WaveFront, responsible for helping to lead the firm’s quantitative research and trading. Previous to joining WaveFront in 2019, Amir was an Analyst Intern for the OPSEU Pension Trust (OPTrust) where he developed statistical trading algorithms and performed quantitative analysis for the pension’s portfolio of external hedge funds. Amir was also hired as a research assistant for the IBM Center for Advanced Studies where he focused on using machine learning algorithms to improve the predictive accuracy of statistical models. Amir made the dean’s list at Western University with a double major in Financial Modelling and Computer Science

Susan Correia currently serves as Corporate Operations Manager. Previous to joining WaveFront, Ms. Correia served as Office Manager for Integrated Asset Management Corp., and Koloshuk Farrugia Corp.. Previous roles include serving in various administrative roles at Nesbitt Thompson, Magna International and National Life.

David Mather is an Independent Director and Strategic Advisor of Wavefront. David was Chief Operating Officer and Principal of Wavefront from 2007 to 2017, then a division of Integrated Asset Management Corp. ( IAM ), and served as Executive Vice President and a Director of IAM from 2000 to 2019. Before joining IAM, David was Managing Director, SEI investments, Managing Director, Fidelity Investments Canada and Senior Vice President, Elliott & Page Limited.He is a Judge for the Canadian Hedge Fund Awards and President of Weathermark Group Ltd. Presently, David is Chair, Investment Committee, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Director and Treasurer, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. Chair, Chair of Investment Committee and Treasurer, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada Foundation. Previously, he was Chair, Director and Treasurer, Royal St. George’s College, Trustee and Treasurer, St. George’s College Foundation, Chair, Investment Committee, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario; Chair, Pension Committee, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Director and Treasurer, Genesis Research Foundation; Director and President, Toronto Brigantine Inc., Past member, Pension Policy Committee, Board of Trade of Metropolitan Toronto.David holds a B.A. (Hons.) and M.A. from the University of Waterloo.

Mr. Abell is co-founder of Sungate Asset Management, which led the recent acquisitions of stakes in the GM Building and Park Avenue Plaza; the two largest US real estate investments by a private Chinese family. Prior to that, Mr. Abell was co-founder of the Tishman Speyer China Fund, an $890 million fund dedicated to real estate purchases in China. From 1994 until his departure in 2007, he was a co-founder and Vice Chairman of GSC Group, which he grew from inception to over $20 billion of assets. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Abell was a Managing Director at the Blackstone Group, where he led their Asian private equity efforts from Hong Kong and Tokyo. From 1986 to 1990, he was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in Mergers & Acquisitions. Mr. Abell received his M.B.A from Wharton, M.A from University of Pennsylvania (International Studies), where he was a Joseph H. Lauder Fellow, and a B.A from Brown University with Honours (Semiotics). Mr. Abell currently serves as Treasurer and Board Member of the National Committee on US-China Relations.

Victor Koloshuk is the co-Founder and Chairman of Koloshuk Farrugia Corp., and currently serves as a Director for WaveFront. Previously, Mr. Koloshuk served as Executive Chairman and Founder of Integrated Asset Management Corp., Chairman at BluMont Capital Corp., and Director & Vice President at ScotiaMcLeod, Inc. Mr. Koloshuk holds a B.Sc. and M.B.A from McGill University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Wes Mills currently serves as Chief Compliance Officer of WaveFront, responsible for overseeing the firm’s compliance program and regulatory responsibilities. Wes joined WaveFront in 2023 and previously served in various senior executive roles throughout his +35 year career in the finance industry. Wes received an Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) from the University of Alberta.
